No drinking age and old school yugoslavian rock.

Greece is old and hot. Everyone in Thessaloniki tries to be fashionable and gets their stilettos stuck in ruins. The motos will run you over, and one drink on the sidewalk lasts you three hours. I have gigantic helmet sunglasses that make me think, "Voila! Instant eurotrash," everytime I put them on.

Dollhouse? Jul. 16th, 2006 @ 04:57 pm
Does anyone have a younger sister (or brother, or an older sibling with an unusual fascination with dolls or interior design) who would like a dollhouse? It's a very nice wooden dollhouse, big, unfinished but we have all the parts to finish it and even some paint; I'd be willing to work some finishing it off if someone wants it. Renn? Ben? Josh? Aladdin? Maybe even Mirah? Anyone?

Alright, my lass and laddie-o's.

The tickets are bought, the commitments are made,

from July 18 to August 17 I'll be blowing my college savings in Central Europe.

I'll bring you back something unpronouncable and possibly confusing as to its purpose (not dissimilar to this sentence, which was bought from a street vendor in Nogales, Mexico).

Also, my new favorite places: 43things.com and the companion 43Places.

I'm perversely delighted that indie boys are now suffering and commenting on the bane of my life, things that don't even occur to girls to question:

Sure, my modern ever so fashionable sensibility demands Tight jeans, but I'll still drive you crazy bitching about them.

For those of you who were at the rally or are otherwise interested: Deadline Passes Without Darfur Accord . At least the U.S. has gotten the talks extended shortly.

I've had the bizarrest urge all day to walk out and sit somewhere smoking a cigarette. I've never smoked. I don't really want to be a smoker, and I get pissed off when more of my friends start smoking. But I still have this deep compulsion to go sit somewhere dragging on a cigarette. Maybe it has something to do with being able to stand by yourself looking angry without doing much, without that seeming strange.

I still have leftover dance urges from Saturday night, and I've never looked so forward to a ballet class as the one tommorrow (dance > cigarettes?). If anyone ever wanted anything out of me, they'd just have to run into me on the dance floor and I would be a pushover. I wouldn't even notice. Oh, you want to dance with me? Most definately! You want to copy my AP History exam? Groovy! You want me to fulfill your bizarre stuffed animal fetish? Yeah, great, just as soon as this next song is done!

And happy birthday week to Lily, and happy non-birthday week to everyone else, and happy Beltane, and soon happy Cinquo de Mayo.
